Activity Fields in Prespa:
- in sustainable tourism development: help to implement crossborder projects such as EWI thematic trips ( food, cultural heritage and nature packages in
Prespa Albanian, Macedonian, and Greek side),CapacityBuildingof women ( training of women in Macedonian villages), NEST ( Network European of Sustainable Tourism);
- in Steki development: running of the internet cafe and youth point; participation in a training course about Human Rights education and so
co-organisation of a Human Rights evening ( quiz and movie), participation to the Steki project ( information campaign about youth matters such as sexual health and anti-drugs campaign) ;
- in the children's activities: participation to the treasure hunt, Cluedo and others games, co-organisation of the Earth festival in June 07 (
weekly thematic workshops such as making recycled papers and painting on it about solidarity, the future of the planet,...)
What you prefered
- discovering all the aspects of the traditional customs in Prespa (during traditional fest such
as wedding, eastern, christmas, and also about habits such as making tsi pouro !..)
- climbing the mountain to see the sheeps , or
collecting plants and herbs and having a rest on the top to see the panorama
- experimenting a vegetable garden ( after seeding I have few
carots, tomatoes but lots of oignons!)
- learning the traditional way to cook ( help to make pita
and traxana, cooking the peppers on the fire, )
- dance lessons and the performance with costumes
- playing with children and all volunteers and making
workshops about nature
- swimming in the lake and looking at the pelicans passing
above of me
- learning how to put on the fire in the soba in my room (
after months of trying without good resulsts!)
- speaking with local people about their story
- making the fiesta with all young people and less young to
share tsi pouro !!
What you hated, who you dreamt to kill
- discovering dogs going on dying because of poison
- when you can experiment traditional dance I hate that some persons tell you you can't dance
because you don't know well how! it's stupid people! especially the dance seminar coming each summer , they havea stick in the has!!! :)
A particularity: it seemed sometimes I say some stupid sentences ...; and now it's on the blog !! yamoto
Your favorite color: all of course , usually I seem like a clown !!
Advices to the newbees: be ready for the great adventures in Prespa!!!
A Memory: our crazy trip on the beach at eastern....with the guys and the Florinettes!!
Favorite joke: I have one so funny! and it comes from here....
so there are 3 people going to the museum: one english, one albanian and one french
they stop in front of the painting about Adam and Eve and the english guy is saying: " oh look at this beautiful landscape , for sure it must be from
an english painter!" and the french lady is answering " No! come on! look at the beautiful bodies, I'm sure, it's the french style !" and the albanian guy making fun of them is saying: "
eh! you are stupid guys! you see nothing! these people are necked and have only apples to eat! it's happenning only in Albania !"
